Huh. Interesting that client-side files would be able to do that, I would have thought that would be handled server-side. Something to add to the troubleshooting steps in the future. Glad you were able to hit on a solution in the end at least.

I didn't forget anything that I didnt do before that I know of . I did this 14x in a row the exact same steps as each character and I'm doing it again now on another character on a 2nd account I've already checked with the NPC's they wont let me cancel the mission I've checked with all the other NPC's as well and they did nothing except repeat them selves like every other NPC usually does. The NPC's at the mission location just keep telling me they don't have his sword either.

Most of these quests have been in the game for a very long time. 99.9% of the time, whenever someone says "<insert quest or mission> is bugged" they forgot something, did something out of order, or another quest or mission is conflicting.
