Hi, I'm Anemoshi and I'm mostly an FFXIV player. I started playing FFXI in 2024 when I first heard it was a thing. I didn't really get sucked into it until the following year. I come and go but I've really enjoyed it so far. At the time of writing I'm Rank 6 in my starting city, Bastok, and reached Fame 10 rapidly because I'm a sucker for side quests.

I really love San d'Oria, Jeuno, and Windurst, too. I haven't made it to the other cities yet. My favorite beast tribe is probably the Yagudo. Maybe because I started in Gridania on XIV and one of the beast tribes there is the Ixali, a birdlike people. And I don't have a particularly favorite class. I haven't unlocked all of them yet.

I've also been having fun with the FFXIV/FFXI collaboration raids! Anyways, since I'm not done with the main stories yet I just request no spoilers please :P I know I run the risk of running into them in these forums of course and don't plan to spend too much time here. Nice to meet you all and see you in Vana'diel!

I have over 1200 hours on FFXI and I must say that I still feel very new at times, there is so much content that I can't even describe the feeling. I believe that is one of my favorite parts of FFXI, constantly learning new stuff about the game alongside asking people about it. I barely started this version of the game and it has been quite the experience, it has absolutely sucked me in. Glad you are enjoying it sos far!

I like Yagudo too, with similar reason with me starting at Gridania as well in FF14. And as a tease, you will even meet a friendly wandering Yagudo when you do the 3rd expansion story - Aht Urhgan & can even get him as trust companion too later on, & he even has very cute moments that's very adorable, you just have to watch it yourself. Surely this will rile up your hype more, & hopefully my tease didn't spoil too much.
