Returning player here,
SE Still has a rampant EasyFarm bot problem. It's demoralizing to see bots in sub 99 xp camps running the same paths as they were 6 years ago.

It's only on Asura mostly. If it bothers you, server transfer.
Bots will never go away. It doesn't matter whether you ban em or not, they will keep coming back as long as there is money to be made.
It's not the greatest feeling to see them running about. But they are not going to go anywhere unless Square-Enix decides to implement some aggressive anti-cheat software.
This would be really upsetting to the many players who use more "innocent" third-party tools (which are still against the Terms of Service, mind), and Square knows this, which is probably what prevents them from implementing anti-cheat software.
It's the same deal on FFXIV, though there is generally a higher real player-to-botting player ratio over there. Your best bet is to ignore them the best you can. Sorry![]()

My suggestion is to check bgwiki's leveling guide & research a bit for alternate places one can grinds, there are optional places for each level ranges one can do without being bothered by bots.
Not really- you just can't see them because they use hacks to move under the floor/terrain where they can't be seen. This is easily revealed by just turning the recently added chat bubble feature on. Turn it on and go to the Limsa Lominsa aetheryte- if you look down towards the floor you will periodically see talk bubbles from RMT bots spamming chats- this makes it incredibly obvious that they're RMT and yet SE apparently still needs to conduct full investigations before actioning them, at which point they've already deleted and made a new spambot. It's the same deal on FFXIV, though there is generally a higher real player-to-botting player ratio over there.
You would think the most egregiously obvious bots would be actioned without needing a full investigation as it's obviously not something a legitimate player can even do at all. But nope.
