anyone else having issues with find family xi config?

I have rebought the game and redownloaded it, but due to pain I have issues using KB&M so when I changed the settings in the final fantasy xi config it shows that it is saved but when I launch the game it is still on default setting, for example I have the show movie at launch unchecked, enable gamepad and the buttons assigned, and like I said it shows it saved the settings but never applies the changes.

The file or folder might be read only for some reason.

I just installed XI on my Legion Go handheld, and the config was perfect, the game launched and worked on the first try, I even tried launching it from Windower4 and it worked on the first try. I havnt played it tho, kuz I didnt like using the virtual KB and touchpad mouse, but the controls are flawless and feels like the old 360 version.

I did have to DL a few things; Direct X 8.1, C++ notepad, some windows update, and AMD drivers.

I think imma get a bluetooth KB/Mouse and see how it goes.
