New Trust?

XIV is getting "New" XI content before XI gets new XI content so I was just wondeirng.....just maybe...can we get some crumbs? If I may......

We have not had any new trust in a while I think. There are a lot of candidates still, including NPC and even popular foes. Think it would be kinda neat if we got some popular infamous monsters like the Sky bosses or NMs like Leaping Lizzy. Or even stranger, that fire breathing Galka in Sandy.

But seriously, some new trust would be cool.

While it would be neat ideas, unless there's a trust that hasn't covered certain major skills other trusts hasn't, probably won't even be necessary to have newer ones. Suspect those limited-time event trusts like Matsui-P or Cornelia being tester to see if/how they would affect QoL overall.

& since so far hasn't seen any noticeable demand to have them on a more permanent basis, guess that's that.

Fairly sure I heard they can't make new trusts anymore, if that was a development limitation or other. This is why we see temporary trusts like Matsui-P and Cornelia.

Yeah, since XIV is getting XI content, give us an XIV trust. I'd love to have Krile, on-model as in an actual lalafelle, not a taru. Estinien would be badass.

Just a few examples.......I know it may not be a popular request, but trust is a system many use, and are dependent on. Feel like XI fans really don't get $hit lol. And what we do get, it is like "Who asked for this lol?"

Sounds ungrateful, but if resources are limited, might as well use them on stuff ppl will actually use the most. I will land my plane there......

Maybe they shouldn't have squandered all their trust slots with stuff like the goobbue and the mandragora. Pretty sure we only get Cornelia and Matsui-p occasionally and never simultaneously is because they share a slot. Pretty sure they literally remove Cornelia from the code when they have Matsui-P active.

So, that survey mentioned "Collabs" as an option for the players. Think I stated this before, but it would be cool if we could summon trust from other titles like Dragon Quest or other FFs. We got the Slimes for Monstrosity, but that was a rather easy model.

You know on the one hand, I want to think it would be kind of cool to be able to call up trusts of past Final Fantasy characters. On the other though, I think the ones we would get - Cloud Strife, maybe Sephiroth, and possible another member of the cast of Final Fantasy VII, apparently the only Final Fantasy to have ever existed - would be pretty boring.

Why not fill niches that aren't already covered? We could have Kain Highwind, a dragoon trust with no wyvern. Strago Magus, a magic-based blue mage. So many summoners if they could make them work a bit like Karaha-Baruha and be in charge of the blood pacts themselves instead of needing a second NPC to do them (it's not a great look for an FFXI style summoner, but it's exactly on-brand for summoners before FFX.)

But of course that would be expensive too. Need to make whole new models in FFXI style, or do a disappointing half-hearted effort where they just have the names and not really the look. A lot to ask for for very little return; we're not FFXIV, things can't just happen because somebody thought they'd be cool.
