Alternatively, you can also go to respective Gates zones, like Moh Gates, Sih Gates, Doh Gates, etc...and wait until the weather and Elemental you're looking for appears.

Note, the Adoulin elementals are Elemental mobs that are 2-types, so Fire/Light Elementals would appear in Moh Gates (the lava zone) during Fire Weather and those Elements due the fire/light spell "Blinding Fulgor".

I tried this for awhile; but after like 5 in game days; Wind popped maybe 3 times in the Sih Gates; the first time it lasted awhile but it took me forever to find where the Elemental was spawned, and by the time I got to it the weather ended and it depsawned. So I waited around for 5 in game days; and the next two times Wind popped, it lasted not even 5 real world minutes; and I was only able to tag one elemental before it ended and couldn't get the spell that way. Was going crazy.

Yea that would have been really helpful from the beginning, but I got the spells thanks to you, so thank you.
After the initial skirmishes had no elementals, I was like "I've been lied to" and went down a rabbit hole, finding old forums posts and relics across the internet; figuring out how Skirmish even WORKED. I spent 100s of thousands of gil for the items to do Yorcia Weald Alluvion Skirmish, and I kept dying because those damn butterflys kept ganging up on me. The elementals I needed didn't even spawn the first few runs I tried, so I was losing faith and getting frustrated, but the last two runs, even tho i died the first time and "wasted the items," i got ONE of the spells I needed, and it gave me the strength to drop more cash and keep going; and viola! I have all the elemental spells now and never have to do Skirmish again lol.
