Add a version of maat where you cannot use trusts and where he is ilevel 119.

If you beat him on all jobs, you get a black version of the cap with 119 stats.

Sony announced a remaster of Legacy of Kain Soulreaver 1 and 2 today. It's very clear there's a huge market for nostalgic games and such content. ...I don't understand why SE doesn't use this to invest more resources into FFXI. I mean, we're just talking about a 119 Maat's Cap. Sheesh.

Maybe offline games don't have to deal with consistencies, unlike online game does? As much as personally want visual upgrade, officially, for this game, I'd reckon it'll be a much tougher challenge, especially having to tweak the base netcode itself. Just take an example from Fallout 4, with their latest enhance updates following TV series release, hoping to ride its success, only to met huge backlash due to how super buggy it is. If offline games such as that having terrible difficulty with updates, can't imagine how much tougher it is to do one for this relic MMORPG... ^^;

That said, it might be fun having an update as OP requests, since it would still be possible within current coding perimeter of this game.
