The world has been in a festive mood the past few weeks due to the Olympics, and with them winding up recently, it's starting to feel more like autumn with each passing day. Meanwhile, we're approaching the traditional moon viewing season here in Japan, so how about welcoming it within Vana'diel? One of my favorite moon-viewing spots is definitely Buburimu Peninsula's southern coast. I find that the sparse surroundings really immerse you in nature and give the spot a unique sense of charm. (I feel like the ghosts are part of its appeal...) The hills of South Gustaberg (near the campfire used to roast Galkan sausages) have a similar feel about them and are also an excellent choice. Whether in the game or out in the real world, I hope you all find your favorite moon viewing spot and enjoy the advent of autumn.

Now, I'd like to talk a bit about the September update.

This month, the Qutrub and Hydra are appearing in Ambuscade.
For the Qutrub in Volume 1, the boss wields a dagger that adds an instant death effect to its regular attacks once its HP is low. This effect will trigger more frequently if the boss has any minions present, so be sure to take them out first.
In Volume 2, your strategy should be to focus on cutting down the number of Hydra heads. Strike with all of your might and try to eliminate its heads as quickly as possible!

Next, I have some info about the login campaign. The featured equipment this time is that belonging to the pointy hat-wearing Ark Angel TT. As usual, you can exchange 500 points for the full outfit, and you can also get the Ark Scythe for 300 points, making this your chance to give yourself an Ark Angel TT-style makeover! (Please note that even if you have the full set, you still won't be able to float through the air like Ark Angel TT does...)

That concludes the content for this month's version update, but I would also like to share what the development team is currently working on.

Since the middle of August, we have created a dedicated QA testing room within the office for Besieged. At present, we've finished work on the basic design elements such as monster AI patterns and strength levels, and we plan to start implementing the changes soon. While it depends on any bugs we may discover and our other game balance adjustments, it seems the updates can be released as early as year's end.

At the same time, we're also working on other features such as GAMEPAD Config adjustments and a system that lets you change your character's race. I'll be sure to cover these topics and more when we have additional information to share, so I hope you're looking forward to these upcoming changes and improvements.
