TLDR: JSE Earrings need a pity system. Devs please!

I have returned from a long, long break. Been trying to run a Sortie every night. Old Cases/JSE Earrings 100% need some sort of Pity system added to them. Between my two characters, and running sortie now for like 3 or 4 months, I have seen one +2 earring (I would estimate I have opened 20-24 +1 cases on each character). OP's idea of adding some Monthly Records of Eminence at more shots at Old Case +1 would be at least a great start.

I was amazed to see there is no NPC to do a trade of like 3 earrings for an earring of your choice. This exists for JSE Capes from Seekers and base Empyrean Feet armor in Abyssea. I am sure there probably is a couple other examples, but these two I know of. There is also the fact the earrings have stat variations to them as well, so even trading 3 for a choice, you still have gambling involved trying to roll max stats on it.
