Announcing the October Version Update

Good day, adventurers!
Fujito here.

The sun is gradually starting to set earlier in the day, leading to some pleasantly cool nights as we continue to transition out of what was a fairly hot summer. Aside from the temperature, there have been few changes in the weather at our Shinjuku office here in Tokyo, but I imagine many of you are starting to notice the leaves turning color as well as other telltale signs of autumn.

As part of the October Login Campaign, we have added a new autumn foliage furnishing that is just perfect for the season. Whether you have yet to pick it up, or you just want some more to immerse yourself in the colors of autumn, make sure to grab it during the campaign!


The October version update will have the usual updates to Ambuscade and we have also adjusted the locations for certain monsters.

In this month's Ambuscade, you will encounter Trolls and Dvergr. Dvergr can summon books (Tomes) to boost their abilities. Their powered-up status will continue as long as the book is present, so focus on quickly dealing with the books first in order to defeat them and earn those hallmarks.

Furthermore, we have again made some adjustments to the monster locations in the sector where the Locus Imp was added as part of the last version update. That sector originally featured the HNM Khimaira, but with Locus Imp and all of the other monsters added there, things were getting a bit crowded so Khimaira has been moved to another sector in the same area. If you're looking for a Hauteclaire or just want to keep hunting HNMs like before, please head over to the new sector and check it out.

We have also made various other adjustments and bug fixes as part of the update. I hope you continue to enjoy FINAL FANTASY XI.
