Tainted Hounds are not spawning.

Tainted Hounds are supposed to spawn in East and West Ronfaure from 20:00 to 4:00. None are showing up. Tried three ingame nights in a row to find them. Must be bugged cause there are none around, none on widescan. Bats are showing up at the right times, but no hounds. Please fix. Thank you.

I also did a sweep of East and West Ronfaure within the night and couldn't find any.

I would also like to confirm that I was the only person in both zones, so it wasn't somebody else killing them.

It's possible that they function like Ghouls in Valkurm Dunes: they spawn in place of other mobs. If you aren't killing whatever they take the place of, they'll never spawn.

Nah, been playing this game for 20 years. They always spawn at 20:00.

Just curious, why are you guys looking for tainted hounds?

Edit: Just went to W.Ron at 20:00 on RNG and none appeared on widescan. I killed several mobs, then one hound appeared around 0:00. Not conclusive evidence, but enough for me to believe they spawn as I suggested they do.

I guess maybe they changed it. Back in the day they all used to pop right at 20:00, and then they'd spawn a set time after killing them so you could do a loop with like 5 hounds, get back to the beginning and the first one was spawning again, each one after that would spawn right about when you were getting to it. Get 2-3 loops each night between 20:00 and 4:00.

Any idea what mob you killed that was the placeholder?

It's possible that back in the day, there were always people out in the zone, killing mobs. Or maybe they changed it.

Was thinking the same regarding placeholders, and might even remember the sheep in North Gustaberg doing the same with the Black Wolf, though I can pretty much always find the one at (F-8)/(F-9) being around.

I tested some at (F-8) of West Ronfaure, and one may have spawnd in place of a Hare or a Sheep there. Additionally, Enchanted Bones appeared as well, though it might have been the one that always spawns a bit south from there, but I'm not entirely sure...

Heard the flowers in the Highlands are spawning in the air. Hope they fix that next!
