    Adjust recipe for fewell, or make materials more common

    Right now fewell orbs are not worth making or buying unless you have capped Alchemy and can HQ it at a good rate, and even then it's only a slight improvement. The high cost of fewell makes most "useful" recipes not as worth it as they should be. I can understand the NPC cost being high, but fewell orbs should be easier to get than they are now. Crystals are not a good option as they're usually more expensive than the NPC cost.

    I think one of two things should be done:

    -Remove slime oil from the recipe, or make it more common, or replace it with something else
    -Make colored rocks more common from sources other than the goldsmith guild, or lower the goldsmith guild price.

    There are two guilds (Three if one in AZ? Forget.) to choose from on top of random AH sales for the rocks. In general, the majority of fewell consumption is tied up in the skilling process, which more than likely involves people spamming wind or earth recipes, which are coincidentally among some of the most common weather patterns for elementals and crystals. Slime oil is, in turn, easily farmed in K. Tunnel. One fewell is 50 energy, which is basically 50 interactions with the furnace short of leaks or specialized actions like with dark. 1 synth is 3 fewell unless you HQ, then it's 6/9/12.

    Frankly, this is one of the few sets of synths Alchemy has going for it at the moment, but it can be a very fickle market. The fact sub-60s can make the stuff eliminates the outright need for a dedicated alchemist and it's maybe 3.5k a synth if you're not desperate about buying the rocks from the guilds. In short, the production process is fine.

    Totally False:
    - Coloured stone: 6k (maximum) from the GS guild, cheaper (2k minimum) if you can find it at the AH
    - Slime oil: 1-2k
    - Catalytic Oil: 100 gil
    - Crystal: 1-400 gil

    So that's 9k at the very extreme for for 3 orbs minimum. Which would cost you 15k if you filled up via the Synergy NPC. Pretty obvious savings.

    You can grow the rocks...recipes are pretty easy, just takes a little planning and all. May not be practical if you need a lot of different ones, but it is an option if you find yourself using one particular type a lot. There is also a low level NM near the Cheval River that used to be farmed for rocks a long time ago, idk if people still go after him though--haven't gone after him in a long time myself.

    Slime oils are easy to farm--esp. if you have THF and go to Korroloka. They drop a lot from cetain mobs. I put 3 stacks on the AH I got today working on a trial in the past--as BLM/WHM solo.
