Fantasia for FFXI & Color pallet

I think (My old memory is not so hot these days) SE originally didn't want to do this was because, your name and character had a reputation, Leveling to 75 could take the best part of a year, if you acted badly in game it had consequences among the server community.

However it's a different game now, as mentioned above, this has been requested a lot of times, even back in times when they had a lot more staff working on FFXI, SE have never shown any interest in implementing this (Or more importantly, remember the request for different colour wyverns????).

It does seem like it would be an easy win, unless some old code makes it impossible, but realistically I doubt it will ever happen.

But keep asking, you'd have the backing from a large percentage of the playerbase!

I am not a "basement dude," I work a job, have interests and pursue them like any normal person, have worked in the games industry in in the past and have my (real) name in the credits of a small handful of games. But please, do continue baselessly judging people. If there's one thing I don't do on this board or any other, it's tell other people what to think of someone else (I might give my own opinion in some cases, but I don't tell anyone what to think of someone else.) If you think my contributions aren't valuable, you should look at your own before calling anyone else out- because I wouldn't say calling other people out with false stereotypes is a particularly good contribution.

Being attacked just for having a post count is just so much fun.

Also No one attacking you cause of your post count, your not vicitim but your low quality posts has been a cancer in this forum.

I'm not trying to be negative, I'm trying to be realistic. The reality is, the current state of things is that they have just a few people working on the game and they have to request manpower when they want to do more than a routine update. You indicated in your early posts a lack of understanding how business works. If they did add a fantasia (like I said, I'm with you on that and people do want it), they would not send invest every dollar into FFXI, because that's just not how that works, like I said. But the reason I say this, is because we have had certain people posting in the past in an angry fashion because they think their sub dollars are being funneled into FFXIV, which is also not true. They're "funnled" into Square Enix who spends that money on their entire business, not just any one specific project. FFXI did not directly finance FFXIV, nor did any other specific Square Enix project.


In focusing on my alleged negativity, I think you missed the fact that I do support your comment. It is not the first time anyone has asked for this, and for good reason. It's a very popular request and I do wish they would do it. But the ball is in their court. We can't really do anything beyond saying we want it, and in the current state of the game, I'm just being realistic in saying it's not going to happen. I say that because the entire community has been asking for it for years and years, and even before SE's investment into FFXI began to wane. If they didn't do it then, I can't see them doing it now. But again: I'm totally behind everyone that wants this feature, because it should be a thing. I just don't think it's going to happen.

(So, sorry to the 7+ people who can't understand why anyone would be cynical about this, or really any other new feature, happening right now- but it's just reality.)

You make valid points, I can not disagree with you there, because we have all have been let down by SE, and of course the Team is smaller so yes, it maybe complicated for them, but I do hope they can accept a challenge to try.

Thank you guys I really appreciate the backing. I really hope they can try at least and for us who love this MMO as I do.
