Announcing the August Version Update

Good day, adventurers!
Fujito here.

With the month of August upon us, the world is gearing up for summer vacation season.
Whenever I think of summer vacation, I'm reminded of my mother, who knew I was always the type to put off my homework until the very end of summer when I was a kid. She often told me, "Your future will depend on just how hard you work this summer!" Of course, kids are going to be kids; they simply want to play all the time.

This summer looks like it's going to be a hot one, no matter where you live. Whether you're outside playing or just going for a walk, make sure to take the necessary precautions against heat stroke and other heat-related illnesses. Even staying inside a nice, cool room can be dangerous if you don't get enough water, so remember to hydrate!

Now then, let's take a look at the August version update.
This update is currently scheduled for Wednesday, August 9, and it will see you face off against Gigas and Evil Weapons in Ambuscade. Be sure to keep an eye out for Golden Bomb as well!

Elsewhere, we'll be making some changes to the conditions needed to remove the "?" mark that is displayed for newly created characters.
We're getting rid of the level requirement, so removal of the icon will only require that you play the game for the necessary amount of time. It'll be the same duration as the time needed before players can ask questions on the Assist Channel, so please be sure to extend a warm Vana'diel welcome to anyone you see with the mark and offer them a helping hand if needed.

In other news, we're making some changes to the copyright text in locations such as the title screen and screenshots so that they are in accordance with recent updates to Square-Enix's overall guidelines.
