Announcing the June Version Update

Good day, adventurers!
Fujito here.

Here in Japan, the weather continues to be rather unpredictable, with large differences between the high and low temperatures popping up all over the country. We're also experiencing many severe rainstorms and other kinds of inclement weather. How are you faring as we enter summer?
It's important to always maintain a healthy balance in one's life, so I hope you'll take some time out of your busy schedules to come see a rainbow in La Theine Plateau or perhaps a Purgonorgo sunset. I find that taking in the sights of Vana'diel's natural beauty can be a relaxing way to end the day!

Now, onto the update... Last month, we released the final chapter of The Voracious Resurgence on the 24th.
I know there are many of you out there who helped save Vana'diel from certain annihilation, so what did you think?
After seeing all of you have so much fun with it, Sato-san and the rest of the team behind The Voracious Resurgence are looking forward to delivering even more exciting content for your gaming pleasure.

In fact, we're actually working on a small epilogue to The Voracious Resurgence storyline at this very moment. This is something we're planning for release in July, so it'll take a little while yet, but please bear with us while we get it ready.

In other news, we highlighted various new FFXI merchandise and also the upcoming Japan-only Treasures of Vana'diel exhibition on the Tuesday, May 16 episode of Freshly Picked Vana'diel.

The merch we showed included some T-shirts and a baseball cap, a hoodie based on the Vermillion Cloak, a small stand resembling a Hecteyes that can be used to hold pens and other accessories, a memorandoll mascot strap, and some magnets featuring paintings that can be seen in the game. In addition to the items featured in the broadcast, we’ve got plans for a variety of others as well.

Furthermore, we are currently working on making some of these items available for purchase by our players overseas, so we'll be sure to give you the details once they're ready.




The upcoming Japan-only Treasures of Vana'diel exhibition is an in-person event that just wasn't possible the past few years because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, due to the recent reclassification of COVID-19 here in Japan, we are finally able to make it a reality. The event will feature a wide variety of all things FFXI. Please keep an eye out for additional news as soon as it's available.
