Whos to say they wont continue doing that with other items? The backlash for the Mindmelter staff could have prevented that from happening again, hopefully this thread was read and they see not everyone liked the idea, thats the whole point in the discussion.

The problem with stuff like this is people just don't bother to think of the psychological aspect of it, which is important because the entire game is founded in psychology and that's why you keep playing the game as long as you do. It appeals to your lizard brain in different ways.

it's a sweet wrapper, then over time you start to just assume every butterfly is actually just a sweet wrapper and the little bit of joy that thing used to give you is obliterated.

We just have to keep repeating things for you, I'm sure you'll get it eventually. Who is "howling"? Writing an opinion in a thread, where everyone is discussing said thing, is not howling or beyond normal. The only one with a problem beyond the game is you, and its been explained to you various times as to why.

An interesting observation, nobody really seems to want this shield anyway.

I roamed around and I saw more real Aegis than this thing, and the only ones wearing one were dressed like clowns in every slot. By comparison I saw a lot of people wearing the denim jeans after they added those.

Entirely subjective, and I've seen many people with it. Crap isn't true just because you wrote it.

To be honest, they should have done more to make this item a joke. Break-off the top right quadrant of the shield. Make it look broken / damaged, easy to discern from a distance.

I don't understand why "distance" is a requirement. I can discern it at a distance just fine, but as long as I can tell it apart at all, I don't see the issue. It's a different item, period. Whether you can "tell from a distance" or not. In the screenshots earlier in the th read, I could clearly see two different shields and they weren't that close.

Aside from that, this is far, far from the only item in the game that looks similar to another item. And no one's ever had a problem with that before.

And by the accounts of multiple users in this thread REMAs are not accomplishments or anything special. And lots of items, including REMAs have had their exact models copied and pasted. You keep qualifying this to justify it. An Aegis isn't anything sspecial, it's been said many times and not just by me. And Aegist is a diffent item, identifiable as different in multiple ways. It doesn't do anything remarkable and has essentially no stats. No one not in this thread is going to be confused.

No it's not at all, I literally logged into asura and roamed around the busy spots and counted.

I saw about 8-9 Aegis and 3 ageist.
