You are devaluing one of the most iconic REMA people spent hundreds to thousands of hours making for a joke login item, it looks identical to an Aegis unless you're really close to it. So level 1 mules will effectively have a prestige REMA now.

Those days are long gone. People buy from mercs now, there is zero achievement in that and zero prestige in the item they have.

Aegis is iconic yes, a major accomplishment in this day and age, not so much. R30 Nyame is the major accomplishment these days.

As far as this, I don't like the idea behind it. There was precedent, but not to this extent. They had the Mindflayer staff that looked almost identical to the Nirvana, but this is a login point item that looks almost exactly like a relic. Really dumb if you ask me, but they threw lore out the window ages ago when they added crystals for HTB with 0 explanation and a bunch of other questionable choices. They should have made it similar to excalipoor and a toony type of weapon.

And what will you do? Bot some more? AFK some more? Hang out with all your mules? Pitter about some simping comments on every random XI corner of the web? From any forum to YouTube comments of whining about 14 getting more attention to how great this game is to how you are upset with the Devs? Lol, make way for the martyr.

Why does it bother you that people dislike this? In that case, according to you, if they make every REMA into a login point item with a smiley face on it, thats ok? People just want to preserve the aesthetic and lore of the game. Defending Ring doesn't even have lore behind it, just came from a popular NM and is a good item. Just because most things are obtainable doesn't mean they should make them all login items and give them away for free. I never liked any of that free crap they give out monthly, so its why I'm giving my opinion. I don't know why that bothers you or why you want to discourage people from complaining about something they deem noteworthy to leave an opinion about. If you don't care good for you, just move on then.

Ultimately, it's not the same item and that's all that matters. If they were giving away ACTUAL relic weapons to everybody, that would be different.

Its simply a matter of opinions really. I don't think its a good idea to take every REMA and give almost the exact same model in login point items. I feel it is just a downside in the long run and not a good idea. If thats the case, why not let people lockstyle everything and anything they want without having to obtain the item? Why not just take away the middleman and let them visibly lockstyle into anything they want regardless of if they have it or not. It just is a matter of opinion but I don't think it would work out that great. Why would it be any different actually? Most of the relics are garbage, so why not just give them out for free. To hell with the games longevity, lore, overall health. Just seems to be what I'm observing in the backbone of these opinions.

So people that bought items from the AH back in the day have no prestige or achievement? You had to buy the cursed item from players most times, isn't that the same exact thing as merc? Or did you only consider it noteworthy if the person farmed every single material? Your thinking is so outdated.

No it's not the same thing, otherwise SE would have put every single weapon and Armor piece on the Auction House.
Mercing is bending mechanics of the game, and 99% of them use third party tools to do it.
