April Version Update

Good day, adventurers!
Fujito here.

I’m pleased to be able to share with the the first monthly updates since I started as producer.

In Japan, we have a saying about the weather in February and early March: sankan shion. A similar English saying some of you may be familiar with is “March goes in like a lion and out like a lamb,” and the literal meaning of the Japanese is “three days cold, four days warm.” This saying applies particularly well this year, with the difference between warm and cold days beings quite staggering this year, especially here in Tokyo, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom at a mind-bogglingly early date.

Of course, changes in the weather make people more susceptible to minor illnesses, so make sure to keep yourself healthy and realize your full potential at work or in school.

Let’s take a brief look at the April version update.

First up is Ambuscade.
Volume One features a battle against goblins, and Volume Two against shadow dragons. Goblins are of course a marquee creature from FINAL FANTASY XI, and you’d better watch out for any of the bombs that they might drop.
The shadow dragon battle was the first Ambuscade that ever went live back in 2016, and many of you are familiar with shadow dragons from their role in the home nations’ storylines. Beware of painful breath attacks and hope your tank can keep you safe!

Next up is the Term Filter.
We’re make a couple more expansions to the filtering conditions to make it possible to filter a large amount of chosen words with one a few simple conditions. Hopefully this will help improve your chat experience.

Please note that we are currently undergoing final testing of these updates and it’s possible that an unexpected bug might pop up that we need to squash before the feature can go live.

This version update will actually have two accompanying maintenances because of logistical concerns.
