• Records of Eminence have undergone the following additions and adjustments.
  • The monthly Records of Eminence objectives have been swapped out.
  • New Records of Eminence objectives unlockable once certain conditions are met have been added.

[Gunisaka]

• Ambuscade has undergone the following additions and adjustments.
  • The foes in Normal and Intense Ambuscades have been swapped out.
    * As such, the corresponding Records of Eminence objectives have changed.
    
  • Expert Ambuscades have undergone the following adjustments.
    • The Bozzetto Pishogue will no longer use Gambol Macabre when the Bozzetto Warder is not present.
    • The Bozzetto Pishogue will now use Gambol Macabre without fail if the target is 10m or further from them at the time of activation.
      * This is the case even if the Bozzetto Warder is not present.
    • The Bozzetto Pishogue’s ability Blood Weapon will now dispel all ailments affecting the Bozzetto Pishogue and Bozzetto Warder upon activation.
  • Certain items obtainable in exchange for hallmarks have been swapped out.
  • Certain items obtainable for total hallmarks have been swapped out.
  • Certain items obtainable in exchange for badges of gallantry have been swapped out.

• The following jobs have undergone adjustments
  • Beasmaster / Dragoon / Summoner/ Puppetmaster
    • Pet physical and magic evasion will now increase in line with item level.
    • Pet physical damage abilities and autoattacks’ critical damage limit has been increased across all level ranges.

    * The above adjustments do not apply to pets controlled by the job ability Charm.

• Level adjustments have been abolished in the following areas.

• New items have been added.

• New items are now storable via the Porter Moogle.

• Sortie has undergone the following adjustments.
  • A new instance area, Out Ra’Kaznar [U3] has been added.
  • The auto-transport option has been returned to the instance reservation system.

  * The updates to the instance reservation system originally announced on January 27, 2023, have been postponed to a future version update so that they may be further refined.

• The Term Filter, a function for hiding chat log messages that contain user-designated terms, has been added.
  • The files used for the Term filter must be stored in the subfolder named “ffxiuser” contained within the settings and screenshot folder section in the FINAL FANTASY XI Config Features tab.
    * The default location for this file is C:/Users/[User Name]/Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XI/ffxiuser
    

    

• Required Files
  • Create text files titled “prohibited.txt” and “allowed.txt”
    
    
    
    • prohibited.txt
      Add the terms you would like to hide to this file. Any chat log messages containing these terms will be hidden from view in-game.
      
      
    • allowed.txt
      Add the terms you would like to whitelist to these file. Any chat log messages containing these terms will be displayed in game, even if other terms contained in the message are found in prohibited.txt.

    * Each text file can have up to 100 lines of text, with each line consisting of no more than 30 characters.
    *The Term Filter will not reference terms listed after the 100th line.
    * Registered text must be in UTF-8 format. The filter is not guaranteed to function properly if other formats are used.
    * The maximum file size for each file is 9200 bytes. The file will not load properly if the size exceeds this maximum.
    

    

• Applying the Filter
  • From the in-game config menu, select Term Filter from the Misc. 4 category and choose between “On", "Display Name Only", or "Off.”
    * The default setting is Off.
    * Selected settings will be applied only to new messages sent to the chat log. Existing messages will be unaffected.
    * The term filter applies to the Shout, Yell, Assist, and AssistE channels.
    
    
    • On
      Hides chat messages containing terms found in prohibited.txt and allowed.txt.
      
      
    • Display Name Only
      Hides chat messages containing terms found in prohibited.txt and allowed.txt, but the name of the sender will continue to be displayed.
      
      
    • Off
      Disables the Term Filter.

    * If either of the two files are changed while the game is running, pressing any button will apply the latest settings.

• Notes
  • It is possible that your intended recipient may not see your chat message if it contains any terms located in their filter. If your intended recipient does not respond, you may wish to contact them via channels to which the term filter does not apply.

• A new feature to copy chat log lines to the clipboard has been added.
  • Using the log
    1. Open the chat log window.
    2. Select the line you wish to copy.
    3. Open the menu.
    4. Select “Copy to Clipboard” to copy the selected line.
    5. Lines copied to the clipboard may be copied to any file you wish.

    * System messages cannot be copied.

• We plan to expand Term Filter functionality in upcoming version updates.
