If a device was at each #4 station, and the zone was just copied and pasted to that individual zone with a different zone ID, it would reduce the lines. Then players would have seven different zones that is not attached to Vagary to get into Sortie.

Trishula Obtained ~ I forget when after Idris though.
I have a better suggestion. Offer free server transfers off Asura with other incentives as necessary to balance server populations.
And give up $30 transfer fees padding their revenue numbers, never! it's the only reason they don't do it in the first place. Such a simple fix, but never do it for free when you can fleece rubes.

They've done it before, it clearly isnt that big of a deal.
They have absolutely never given free transfers.
They have merged (to save money on hardware) and they closed and moved people from the xbox server (again to close it and save money)
if you mean they do discounts, of course they do. it costs $0 to transfer for them, half priced is still fleecing.
People had oppertunities to transfer back during the server merges, and they have discounted them many times in the past, though the discount doesn't care where you're transferring from or to.
In FFXIV, transfers off of overcrowded servers are free 100% of the time. They can afford to do temporary promotions.
They're about to add new NA servers there and it will be free to transfer to those to facilitate populating them. It is a population control lever at their disposal, and certainly within their power to do so. and I'm not suggesting free for everyone. Free specifically to transfer off the most populated servers. (Asura, Bahamut, Odin)
It makes far more sense to try to balance populations than to make game mechanic changes that only one or two servers actually need. People on other servers get punished when they do things like that. There's no line for Sortie or Vagary here, and yet we don't get the convenience of auto-transport just becuase Asura can't handle it.

They purposely leave asura a problem because they profit off the transfers. it's really that simple.
It IS better to leave it imbalanced and to make bad changes, as long as people keep paying to try asura and paying to leave asura. Stop paying them and they'll fix it.
The literal second it becomes less profitable to ignore fixes because people will pay to leave, they will change the method.
No.They purposely leave asura a problem because they profit off the transfers. it's really that simple.
They don't profit off this problem getting worse. A transfer is a transfer whether it's to or away from Asura. But people keep transferring TO it because they believe that more players = better. Which is only true up to a point, and it's a point that Asura has passed.
While I've heard recently another server has been designated as the "go to" server, I don't know who it is that's telling people where to go and why everyone's listening to them.
Well, the "who" for Asura is... pretty much all of r/FFXI on Reddit, which is also why people listen; you go to what looks like the unofficial home of the FFXI community, everyone says "yeah, try this server, it's dope", how are you going to know it's a bad idea.
Not sure who's pushing any other server though. Not sure who'd want to; what if you accidentally started a bandwagon and suddenly ended up as Asura Jr.?
