Voracious Resurgence 5-5 The Sea Sage CS not triggering

Steps:
I am on 5-5 "The Sea Sage". I got the initial cutscene with the Apkallu Guide, but the next step says to check the "Leypoint" in Wajaom Woodlands for the next cutscene. When I do this, I only get the following message:
"An eerie red glow emanates from this stone platform.
The surrounding air feels alive with energy..."

I have verified I am on the correct mission in the mission logs:
Current: The Sea Sage
Mission orders: "Bijoux, the apkallu elder, has provided....."

I have tried revisiting the Apkallu leader, I have tried the next step on near Hydra (no Marolith exists), I have tried rezoning, relogging, being in a party, being solo, with the hammer equipped, with it in inventory, with it in mog satchel, tried trading it and tried to use the item. Nothing seems to advance this cutscene. I haven't seen any posts on the forums or the internet in general about this topic. At a loss for what else I can do except ask for help. Thank you!

Ok starting to think its not a bug as I tried it on my laptop and got the same response. Perhaps the 'red glow' is some mechanic preventing advancement similar to the captured General I had to rescue a few missions prior? Didn't see anything on the internet about that either though so I'm not sure. Thanks again

Ok well, I guess either the wiki is wrong or the game somehow skipped to the Ghatsad part because by talking to him, I got the next part in the cutscene. Hope this helps someone who gets stuck like me
