Solid Tanking Pet

As anyone got any idea for a good solid tanking pet?
I've been using the Nursery Nazuna when soloing Fenrie.

So anyone got any idea of the best pet to use that can stand up to Fenrie as well as Nursery Nazuna.

Something that a level 100 cooking skill could craft?

DipperYuly has THF-Level Evasion, She's always a good idea.

Flowerpot merle is also a pretty nice tank pet if you aren't going the eva route.. its a monk so can guard and counter a lot

also has autoregen

He is quite useful on mobs that hate reset like hedjedjet because he triple attack and get hate back fast

outside abyssea Dipper yuly pretty much reigns supreme unless you come up against a blunt type monster in wich case Fatso fargann can give dipper a run for its money if ur PDT set is capped (65%ish resistance to blunt outside abyssea on fatso). If its one of those strange NMs that NEVER miss, and its not blunt type dmg ur best bet is nazuna due to the largest HP pool.
If its a heavy magic dmg NM (crystaline prophecy boss for instance) believe it or not Courrier carrie pokes its eyes back out of its shell. Bubble shell is a 50% mdt. U can use regain axe to prep the fight and then keeping up the shell for the entire fight is a cinch. 71% mdt with full gear. Possible added magic defense if u made the trial axes.


Inside abyssea with capped pdt gear and atmas it really doesnt matter wich pet u use.

Great info Gotter, i thought Carrie was retired when Nazuna took over. Very much surprised she still has some life left.

What gotter said basically. Inside abyssea it doesn't matter with right setup but I still try to match up pets to spells. When tanking sedna I use leech, anything with wind magic Dipper yule. Just look up what natural resistances these pets have and match them to mobs. My favorite is Fatso against Iron Giants. I've yet to tank an iron giant that can kill my leech.
