Neo Animator DMG+10 not working on automaton ranged WS?

Even after the supposed fix, damage to automaton ranged weapon skills are still lower compared to Animator P+1. I'm just comparing to recent findings on the new Sheol Gaol axe for BST that contains Pet: Melee Dmg +10 where they saw huge improvement on melee sic attacks. Not sure if this is working as intended or not. If that's the case, then this animator iis essentially useless b/c this is more expensive than P+1 and does less overall?
