- Ambuscade has undergone the following additions and adjustments.
- The foes in Normal and Intense Ambuscades have been swapped out.
* As such, the corresponding Records of Eminence objectives have changed.
- Certain items obtainable in exchange for hallmarks have been swapped out.
- Certain items obtainable for total hallmarks have been swapped out.
- Certain items obtainable in exchange for badges of gallantry have been swapped out.
- A new area, Sheol: Gaol has been added to Odyssey.
In the Gaol, players will battle fierce monsters to earn currency that can be used to augment equipment.
- Requirements for Participation
- Have completed the Records of Eminence objective Sheol C.
- Be in a party whose members all have three or more jobs at level 99 and all participating players have non-duplicate jobs.
- Be in possession of a Moglophone II key item.
- Obtaining a Moglophone II
- Speak with the ??? in Rabao (G-6) (First time only).
- Purchase one from the ??? in Rabao (G-6) in exchange for 3000 mog segments.
- Staging Grounds
- Players may use the staging grounds for a total of 15 minutes.
- If this time expires, players will be removed from Odyssey.
- Alter egos may not be called forth.
- Speak to the Pilgrimage Moogle to change jobs and retrieve equipment from storage.
- The Pilgrimage Moogle cannot increase mog locker storage time, so make sure everything is all squared away at your Mog House first.
- How to Participate
1.Interact with the veridical conflux in Rabao (G-6) while in possession of three moglophone II key items and select “Sheol: Gaol (Level 124+)” to head to the staging grounds.
- Parties may have up to six players.
2.Once your preparations are complete, examine the verifical conflux in the staging grounds and select a monster to engage in combat to proceed.
* One moglophone II will be consumed when you enter the select monster’s area.
- Each battle has a time limit of 15 minutes.
- Players cannot attempt a boss if there are any duplicate jobs among the party’s members.
- Once alter egos are called forth, they are removed from the list and cannot be called again until you leave Sheol: Gaol.
3.Players will be transported back to the staging grounds once the battle is complete.
To attempt another boss, players must once again examine the veridical conflux in the staging grounds and select a new boss.
* This will once again consume one moglophone II.
- The staging grounds countdown will commence where it left off when you attempted the previous boss.
- Jobs previously used by you and your party members will be locked for the remainder of your stay in Sheol: Gaol.
- How to Leave
- Use the moglophone II temporary item received upon entering Sheol: Gaol.
- Have emerged victorious from battle three times, thereby consuming three moglophone II key items.
- Have time expire from using the moglophones during boss battles.
- Have three minutes pass after being wiped out in a boss area.
- Have the staging grounds time expire.
- Spoils
- Bosses do not drop items or equipment.
- Special records are obtained the first time you defeat a particular monster, enabling you to purchase its specific rewards.
- These items can be purchased from the ??? in Rabao (G-6).
- Prices
- Equipment prices fluctuate based on the amount of times a given monster has been vanquished on your server.
- A modifier is applied based on difficulty level and number of party members.
- Augments
Purchased equipment can be augmented using RP earned from the applicable boss monster.
- Augmenting Equipment
1. Purchase a piece of equipment2. Augmenting equipment earned from defeating monster A is done by defeating monster A.3. You must defeat the monster on a level equal to or greater than that of your equipment’s current augment level.4. RP can be earned from defeating a boss or reducing its HP.5. Use RP by interacting with the ??? in Rabao (G-6) and trading your desired piece of equipment.* Excess RP can be converted into segments.
