How you people deal with it? Should I just blacklist all the people who spam selling something over and over and over and over?

Hi
There is a chat filters window under a second menu > config to turn off the /yell spams. Unfortunately, that has been going on for years and there is no way to stop it.
I know a script to stop it but I am not allowed to share it on the official forums as the rules say so.
I'm usually on a server that's quite a bit more quiet-like, and the yells are not an issue there.
When I do visit Asura, I have the filter enabled so I don't see any of it. ^^;
...or so the legend says.
Just turn on the chat filter, or move to Bahamut if you want nobody talking in /yell
You can only see /yell in towns btw.
I don't have to worry there because most of the trolls are typically mercs or don't seem to leave town anyway. I wouldn't rely on /yell anyway, like most people, I use Linkshell(s).
In case you haven't notice, yell aside from Mercs and RMT is pretty dead anyway, so to rely on that for doing content would mean sitting in town for hours, fingers crossed.

yell chat is near dead most of the time, not only on ffxi but most online games. Mainly because of intolerant whiners.
One person doesn't like this, one doesn't like the other, another doesn't like something else and in the end nobody talks about anything.
