Kutharei Trigger Issues

Some LS mates and I were killing Kutharei earlier tonight, strangest thing though no matter what we did none of the Trigger Weaponskills or Magics would proc on him. In the end we killed him spamming Raiden's Thrust

We had killed Amhuluk and Manhora just before with no issues, so it appears to just be Kutharei.

Steps:
-I came in a minute or two after my group had claimed Kutharei, they had already obtained the hint for the Red Trigger which was Lightning.
-Obtained hint for Blue Trigger which was Great Axe.
-Warrior was away from the computer so I used a scroll of instant warp to Port Jeuno and changed my subjob to warrior, and equipped the Pitchfork +1 halloween event item.
-Returned and equipped Atma of the Sea Daughter, Voracious Violet, and Apocalypse as well as Cruor stat buffs.
-Warrior returns and starts working on Blue trigger with Great Axe.
-Used Conflux 1 to go to Conflux 7, re-entered the gate to where Kutharei resides.
-Engaged Kutharei and proceeded to use Raiden's Thrust.
-After several failed attempts at getting the Blue Trigger with a Great Axe the Warrior equips a spear and proceedes to join me spamming Raiden's Thrust to obtain the Atma, and a second warrior joins shortly after doing the same.
-Ended up killing Kutharei after spamming Raiden's Thrust about 15 or so times between us with no successful Triggering.

To be clear, we ha killed other NM's prior to Kutherai earlier that night with no issues getting any Triggers what so ever. And even went for the most optimal time to land a weaponskill, inbetween it's attacks like you would with Shinryu just to be sure.

this is something that is a freak accident but i have seen it alot on, happens on a rare occation, sometimes abyssite will give ya trigger info and sometimes it wont when it happens. i had this on Rasheph, all gigas NMs in La Thiene, Bennu, Audumbla, Ouzelum, Sobek, Glavoid, Lacovie, Chukwa, and more. it dont happen too often tho.

its just seen as a freak accident and i have personally seen a blue trigger on same mob from 2 different WSs (think it was True Strike then from gekko after) was on lacovie, still got the item drops tho, checked chatlog and noone done truestrike a 2nd time, we checked chatlogs and it was gekko that proc'd it 2nd time and no other WSs occured, only ever seen this happen once, the time in game was 24:39 on fireday when it happened and no it didnt go passive and reset even if it did the trigger would have been club h2h or staff
