I think it would seem like a lot less of a waste of time if we gained more from the melee/ranged skill.

For magic we gain spells as it goes up, but for melee we get the acc/atk and thats it. I think there should be abilities tied to skill levels to make people WANT to grind it out.

203 (60 etc..) : gear haste 5%
227 : 5% counter rate
244 : gear haste 5% (10 total)
269 : 5% counter rate (10% total)
294 : gear haste 5% (15% total)
324 : Double attack 5% (10% total)
354 : gear haste 5% ( 20% total)

So at 90 you have a pet with
10% da, 10% counter, 20% gear haste (stacks with wind maneuvers), +5% crit hit rate

Sharpshooter
153 (lvl 50 skill) : OAT (ranged only) 20%
178 (55) : Crit hit rate 5%
203 (60 etc..) : range attack haste 20%
227 : OAT (ranged only) 20%, (40% total)
244 : gear haste 5%
269 : ranged attack haste 20% (40% total)
294 : gear haste 5% (10% total)
324 : ranged haste (60% total)
354 : gear haste 5% ( 15% total)
And at 90 you have a pet with
40% chance to OAT with ranged, +5% crit hit rate, 60% ranged haste (ranged every 8s instead of 20), 15% gear haste,
