controller help

I have tried everything i can think of and i cant get my controller to work in game.
works fine in any other game.
have tried dsrwindows, and inputmapper.
if i test the game pad it will vibrate but nothing else will register.

did you go into the FFXIV config? I think there's an option there to play with controller

In the 'FINAL FANTASY XI GAMEPAD Config', have you tried either enabling or/and disabling the 'Enable XInput' option?

If that doesn't help, what (kind of a) controller is it exactly?

Yeah I tried with and without xinput. I have tried a new PS4 controller and a xbox360 controller. Neither work in the test gamepad or in game. I can get the vibration to work in the test on both, But I have to use something like ds4windows or input mapper to get that on the PS4 controller

This is on a laptop if that makes any difference.

I use a ps4 controller and I had issues connecting it, I have steam, steam connected the PS4 remote and I was able to use and toggle the controls in FFXI config.

have you setup your steam with the PS4 remote?
