    Enspell II

    I realize that Red Mage isn't likely to see another adjustment any time soon, but please consider ways to make Enspell IIs actually useful for something, even if it is only a niche use.

    The first step is to eliminate the skill check on hit. You've given us 100 slots for gearsets, at this point you've fully embraced the idea of gearswapping at any time. Please don't force us to melee in gear that has no melee stats just to bring the damage of these spells up to where it only just barely out does the tier 1 versions.

    Since you have already buffed enspells to hell and back, there really isn't much point in making Enspell IIs just a stronger version of the first tier, so here are some examples of ways to give them a niche use:

    1) Allow Enspell IIs to proc on ranged attacks.

    Since Red Mage actually has a couple of reasonable options for bows, ranged weaponskills, and ranged accuracy gear, this would at least give Enspell IIs a use in those rare situations where a RDM might actually want to use a ranged attack. (This month's Moogle ambuscade comes to mind...) This would likely be a very simple change and already has precedent with elemental ammunition. (Since RDM doesn't get any of the good ones, just let us make our own.)

    2) Allow Enspell IIs to participate in magic bursts.

    This would likely be a bit more difficult to implement but again would at least give it a niche use over enspell 1s. With a sufficient inherent burst bonus, it might be useful in those situations where skillchains happen too quickly for a normal nuke to hit the window (TP burn parties for example.) But a fast one handed attack might land several hits in that time, hopefully boosting the damage enough to be competitive with multi-attack enspell 1s.

    If anyone else has any suggestions on how to make enspell 2s actually useful feel free to add some ideas. (Aside from simply making them more powerful versions of enspell 1, though that would be fine too.)
