Personally, I'd like to see high resists on all or most end game gear. It's a basic MMORPG element. A good way to go about this is augments, and preferably whatever resist of our choosing. Either through trials of the Magian or Synergy. And I would strongly support the idea of Synergy and crafters providing those augments instead of a NM and evoliths. With that said...

He poorly makes his case, possibly just trolling, but it doesn't make the request any less meaningful. I'm wearing the best THF gear at this very moment aside from a few +2 pieces which wouldn't provide any bonus in resists anyway. My resists are 0 across the board. The same is more or less true on my other 6 capped jobs. Whaaaaaaaaaaat????

Having resists on end game gear is easy mode whaaaaaaaaaaaat???

I don't mind using swap gear. I'm very nazi like when it comes to using mdt mdb resist gear. But there "should" be more resists on gear than none at all. I'm confused as to why they abandoned the practice post Zilart era. Sure maybe there's limits and all that jazz but still, I could name dozens of pieces of end game gear that could have better resists on them and don't for no real reason. When you get right down to it, looking at the game completely plug in free as it's meant to be played, it is incredibly restrictive with the macro system when you have 16 slots for gear and only 6 lines per macro. You could potentially have to hit up to 6 macros(counting to and from the MD set) just to take less damage from a spell. I currently use 4 because 6 is too much trouble and half the time I don't even use my 4 because it's still a lot of trouble as a controller user to locate those macros in time for the spell to land.

If the limitations are in play, I just want to say that resists would have been far more useful than another 5 dagger skill on my Empyrean +2 THF body... so sorry if you disagree whoever you may be, but the name of the game is to resist magical damage to survive. DPS comes second. I suppose the game is designed and limited in such a way that it's not do or die to have all out resist gear, but still. I have 0 resists right now on my THF with all out gear from Abyssea. That's just wrong. Throw me a bone here besides resist atmas. Just 1 resist overall would be better than ZERO. For crying out loud.

no idea about rest of the games.

has to do with level scaling, need to reflect you are higher level, you get stronger off gear more than base stats. ( FFXIV from what i seen is very bad with base stats and effecting things)

FFXI is a different game, like i try to say in relic weapon threads SE tends to release more macro gear then actually releasing replacement gear.

If SE does do what he wants then SE better give us more full time gear because that is what hes basically asking.

I want 20 enchacning magic, 20 dark magic, 10 enfeebling magic, 10 dark magic, 12 INT, 12 MND, 4 MAB, 10 to all resist, 5DT, 8% running speed, and 5% cure potnecy on my sch emp +2 gear, same logic.

may be reasonable for other games, but it is unreasable for this one, you think my pants I just stated is OP? shares the same logic with what you are requesting ( forget all the different stats on the expand pants, some numbers may be off)
Did you even read my post,

If ffxi had years of life left with major expansions being planed I wouldnt be suprised if the next tier of gear had slots for 6 augments instead of 5 and they used the 6th to start adding resistance.

Long story short... it would be nice, and not unreasonable, but it most likely will never happen without sacrificing stats.

I think the gear you listed is completly reasonable if it was lvl 99 end game gear from raids/events, and not small group quests.

I wasn't requesting resists just stating that EVERY other mmo has them at some point, weather they add them at the start or 3 expansions later. If ffxi had years left and wasn't limited to the 5 augment types per slot I could see it eventually being added, but not with the current system.

I know you want people to like you rambus, but please read before you post.

I was just saying other MNOs does not allow equip change in mid battle ( to my knowledge)

all i know is wow, ffxi and ffxiv and only one allows midbattle equip changes.
the other 2 (well ffxiv is still developing) has clear cut upgrades when you get a new expand. FFXI for the most part (some gear gets replaced, esp with abyssean gear now) was based on making new macro gear. there is still a lot of old gear that is still useful. my point was if you keep expanding what you said you loose what FFXI is.

if you want more universal gear that’s fine but it better exist for everything, not just some bar circles. I think I read your post well enough, I think you missed my point more. If you still feel otherwise please explain why. My replay was combing your idea with the OP so it was more of a duel replay.

About me being liked, not sure how true that is, feels like the opposite.

@void, hes a troll, or something... i dont know but hes starting to annoy me ( and i dislike stating such things) look on all the topics he made. How can you buy something and not read the thing they give you? ( talking about his token post)

how much damage you take from magic has more then then bar circles, difference of INT, MDB, MDT, and level difference all go in that, really does not matter if you have 0's there. level difference and INT difference are also big factors of "magic evade", sometimes mind, for some spells

Just like any good suggestions in the RDM thread get applied to SCH.
