    Mog Satchel

    Hello,

I'm trying to register my security token to my square enix account so I can get a Mog Satchel in game, and it keeps telling me that the serial number i'm using is wrong.

I've registered it to my square-enix account before, but I unregistered it shortly after. This was before I had my play online account linked to it, so I did not receive my mog satchel.

I think it's null and void after you unregister it... not sure, been too long since I read up on all that mess.

Yes, I do belive I remember reading that if you unregister it, it is rendered useless.

If that's true, it's a pretty sleazy thing to do on SE's part.

I had it activated for FFXIV, and then disabled it because I stopped playing FFXIV, and went back to FFXI, couldn't they at least give me the mog satchel, seeing as I purchased the security token to begin with?

You need the token active to get the satchel.

Why un-register it in the first place, I'm pretty sure it's linked to the Square-Enix account, not game.

Either way, you're going to have to buy a new one if you want the satchel. No way around it, I'm afraid.

    ---

Not sleazy though, it's hardly secure if they allow you to register, and un-register as much as you want too.

If they're going to make your 10 dollars completely worthless for deactivating it from 1 account, you'd think they would have a record of it being on that account.

Or maybe a nice warning when you go to deactivate it, like...

"Hey, you're not ever going to be able to use this thing after you deactivate, you might as well throw it away"

They had that warning on the page when you linked the token to the SE ID, saying the token would be permanently deactivated and rendered unusable if you ever unlinked it. BlueGartr even has a help thread on it for things you need to know.

Unless SE unlinks the token for you, because you lost it or something, the unlink is permanent.
