Re-quest or return Ebisu?

I accidentally dropped my Ebisu fishing rod back in February. I contacted a GM to have it returned with my one time return. The GM said I would use my one time restore, which I agreed to, and then he/she disappeared and no one has contacted me about my Ebisu in the past half year.

You know what would get around this? Being able to talk to an NPC and have it returned like CoP and SoA rings. Or even the ability to re-quest it like AF. I worked really hard for my Ebisu and now it's gone, and I cannot get it back even if I'm willing to catch all of those fish again.

Could we please have one of those aforementioned options in a future update?
