    Make multiple chests drop in Abyssea

    One of the things that annoys me in Abyssea is how we have to avoid getting certain kinds of lights so that the chests dropped from them don't interfere with the ones we want. Can we have it changed so that any chests that are applicable to drop will drop from a kill instead of just one of them randomly chosen?

    I think it's weird enough mobs poop out chests to begin with as they die, it would be nice but I'm pretty sure there's a technical limitation to that.

    Would be nice if there was some way to prevent certain chests from dropping =.=a But yah, Theres probably limitations to that sort of thing.

    The only real alternative to not having chests would be to suddenly apply whatever bonus effect you would've gotten at the time of the mob's death. This, of course, would piss off the anti-ruby brigade even though it's very much possible for a solo player to keep themselves going indefinitely in Abyssea. More people just makes it easier. However, this would also mean key items for pops would need to be converted to actual items then the select few quests that do involve working on chests would need to be tweaked.

    Perhaps the bigger problem involving chests is the shortage of DATs if a lot of groups happen to be cleaving for whatever reason. The only fixes I'm seeing here are to either add more chests if it's possible, or we wind up with something similar to the -aga farming nerf where now only a chest would drop from the mob a kill shot was performed on. The latter would most definitely piss off people who like to cleave.

    Only reason I don't like this idea is because then, leveling in Abyssea would be completely mindless. I think the light/chest system adds some kind of strategy to an otherwise mindless grind session. But that is just me.

    uh yeah i do not find it fun holding tp or worring if my ws will kill the mob.

    then you have times where ws one shots the mob because you got that tripple attack + all hits crting or w/e.

    why is there such a huge drawback for getting ws kills when most of the time it is 70%-100% mob hp?

    then you have 2 people that go after one mob and ws at start at same time.... ya ruby kill

    Not really. Only idiots, or gimps avoid getting all lights anyway. Everyone else mindlessly gets all lights.
