what a terrible idea. Gear should be rewarded based on completion of a quest or whatever - restricting gear for newer players/more casual players based on playtime alone is a ridiculous idea.

I have 620 days playtime from 2002-2011, I demand all of the best plus I demand your gear in the process as this makes me on the uberest of elite levels.

I have 874 days since June 2005. I want all +1 and +2 gear, at least 3 empyrean/relic weapons, all jobs to 90 and all crafts capped. Oh and auto-finish the WotG mission line for me while you're at it.
