It seems more and more people are using the mat band more then actually taking the time to get the wedding ring itself, I've seen 1 player with 4 >.< mat bands in their bazaar and it makes me wonder, Why is it that the wedding ring doesn't have an effect the is used only when both husband and wife are in a party?

On that idea i was thinking maybe SE should make a daily or weekly quest that is only for the married couples of FF:XI that would give us either exclusive items or just plain EXP since EXP is more the abundant in the game now. I would personally like to see us get a larger size Moghouse since it would make sense since we're married to move into a bigger house together.

So now we have realistic stat adjustments that are "gained" from marriage, now all we need is to move in together so the wife can nag me about the furniture not being in the right spot :P

i think something like Latent effect: exp +5% treasure hunter +1 gilfinder +1 is another good one, so when you team up with the matching ring you both get the latent.

I was told on stories about people actually sueing gaming companies that did that that did not recognize same sex marriage. SE said they can't do same sex marriage because of game rating so this cannot happen ether. It would be unfair and unfair for people that picked one gender race for stats. (mithra dex).

nice idea, other games have it, but it cannot happen in this one.

Can you still obtain a wedding ring? I looked into it, but I find no mention of how to obtain it since the wedding update. I'd love to get one, but I thought Matrimony Ring/Band was all you could obtain since that update. If you can obtain it, how?
