It wouldn't hurt if they just separated the slots in the pool and have Synthesis materials in 1-2 slots by itself and same thing for gear/accessories in their own pools. There's really no need or reason whatsoever that any piece of gear from omen bosses should be in the same slot as synthesis materials and should be separated.

This is already how (we believe) it works. The current idea behind drops for Ou are:

Slot 1- Equipment or scale
Slot 2- Moonbow item of any sort or Moonlight coral
Slot 3- Moonlight Coral
Slot 4- % chance of another equipment or scale, likely based on TH and such.

But what it means is you can farm 5 bosses and then kill the mega boss just to get a scale that you already got while getting the KI's for the mega boss...

Think we had some crossed wires in communication earlier. ^^;; And on second thought, it probably would be a good idea to remove scales from the guaranteed slot (#1) at least. Removing from #4 would also be nice, but could be their idea for limiting the availability of gear in order to extend the life of the content. -_-;;
