Krystal, How Old are you? I'm sorry to say but for a "Psychologist"(Am i getting that right?) You're acting incredibly Childish.

Your sig is just proof of this. When confronted with a opposition you resort to "FINE LOL I DONT CARE I DO WHAT I WANT" type of attitude? Even i stopped that when i was 12. The best solution to a problem is to correct those who are misinformed about it.

If you want people to stop thinking You're a troll, Don't give them a reason too. When making a thread address a point in a coherent manner. Never post while angry cause it'll look bad. Trust me when i say if you post angry your thoughts never come out right :\.

Look at Hordecore, Eventually everyone began calling him out of being a horrendous troll, But He's stopped making threads now and started actually responding in them, mostly coherently. I still think he's probably a troll from FFXIAH, but at the same time He's trying to break the Stigma.

You should start by removing the childish sig, And attempting to act like You're not a troll. If your intent was truly never to troll, Eventually people will understand and see that. Then you should continue by not making so many threads that only complain or invite negativity.

Becoming the very thing you are being accused of is never the right answer, any "Psychologist" should know this.

Players have always been greedy after gear, thus why there has always been LS drama. Sure, new players who might've just gotten their first highest lvl job or close to that are more likely to help out since they're new to the game so everything in the game excites them while veterans want to become more and more powerful on their characters.

I've heard about other players go through the things you mentioned and also witnessed some of it on my LS, but fortunately for myself I have a lot of helpful friends and even some on my LS who will help me out when I ask and in turn I help them out too if they need it so it's a fair trade off. If you initially make the move to help others out, they in turn most likely will help you out. I'm not saying everyone will help you back, in fact, maybe only 10% of those people you've helped may help you back as most people have their own agendas and goals in the game, so patience is required in this game just how it used to take longer to obtain things. If you are veteran of FFXI you learn to have this patience to wait for people to help you and the patience to help them as you build a relationship with certain people.

Fortunately, most things in FFXI can be solo'd, duo'd, trio'd so not a whole lot of help is needed for much unless you want to tackle a tough NM with a whole alliance or if it's an atma/piece of gear many want. I personally like all the new changes that have been done to the game to make it slightly easier. Accomplishing more in a short time makes the game more enjoyable too rather than accomplishing something maybe once a week or once a month. While playing the game for 6-7 years I've seen how long it can take to get something and back then I didn't even want to join anything end game because that length to obtain a piece of gear turned me off, so I enjoyed doing my own things in game with whoever I can find wanting to join me.

People ingame haven't changed a whole lot. There's still the idiots and there's still the good players. I guess it depends on who you encounter and play with.

This one homeboy shouted in Port Jeuno for Atma of the Razed Ruins.

Gathered up an entire alliance of people and told us all to just sit there and do nothing. Next thing I know I see some funky floating heads, bursts of lightning, and a cape dropping that we couldn't lot.

What were you saying again about player bashing and stuff Krystal?

I am worried that we are going to leave the choose your own augment and atma world that was the best that ever happened, and return to junk like Fafnir, generic mix armors, WAR+RDM+BRD only parties, etc.

So yea, worried that the game will swing back on the old bad path, not continuing with the good things.

Krystal has a point but its ot the game's fault, its the playerbase and its not something post-abyssea, it was going like taht before that

People didnt want to help you with stuff before the easy exp and level cap remove on missions, everyone is always trying to get something for themselves as a priority.

Not much to say, its all cuz the players, the easier content just emphatized the "go solo it" attitude and the not helping someone fallen is more in the lines of that exp comes easy nowdays, taht ermoved the sense of danger on the players too, and lost respect for the areas with mobs that can hand your arse to you.

Again its not the games fault as much as the players, and all this elitist attutude towards n00bs is just making it worse, instead of trying to help those noobs to understand theri job and helping them, you are expecting to get help from them first... so before you point fingers at some people without X or Y spell, take notice that not everyone learns their job the same and not everyine has the time/gil to get all the spells, and even if you have the gil, most spells are not even in AH most of the time... same can be said on gear, and other suff.

So, if you want to change anything, start helping otheres yourself, insted of complainging about noobs, take one under your wing and un-noob him/her, help make vanadiel a better place and this forum less spammed....

I completely Agree with your points. There is one thing i want to mention though ! (BTW i use the term "You" alot im not directly refering to "you" im refering to "You" as a general term for players doing such act)

I have tried, on HUNDREDS of separate occasions to not only NICELY, but Calmly offer Advice on how to gear, how to farm, how to improve etc to "noobs" and over-all Less than okay players, and have been met with almost nothing short of "F*ck you elitist" or "I'll play how i want", etc.

You cannot blame some people who just stop trying. I have no offered my Advice to new players because everyone always is like "I'm right. Shut up. Stop offering advice i know what im doing" etc etc.

The other day i was exping in Abyssea. I was with someone who said this "Don't open Gold Light or Silver light boxes, They increase the rate in which Blue-Exp/Cruor boxes appear"

    to which i said

"Thats not true. Gold/Silver light only helps build Exp/Cruor from Enemies. It won't Impact Blue Chests"

    To which i got

"I know what im talking about, Shut up, I'm right if you don't like it disband" - I'm paraphrasing, But this is what i was told.

Helping players try to understand mechanics of the game, no matter how nicely you say it, RARELY works. You'll occasionally get that 1 player who listens, but 99% of them are just hateful ignorant people who take any advice as criticism and just scream "Elitist".

So don't blame "Elitist" on how the game has turned out, Blame all those "noobs" who refuse help and ignore evidence just as much as those Extreme-Elitists who insult at the slightest gimp-item.
