- New battle content known as Omen has been added.
Omen is all-new battle content in which a goblin known as Incantrix draws forth the power of Phoenix to teleport the player to an area in Reisenjima in one of many possible futures.
- Requirements
- Have completed the final chapter of Rhapsodies of Vana’diel
- Be in possession of the Goblin canteen key item.
* All party members must be in possession of this item.- Be solo or in a party of up to six players.
- How to participate in Omen
- Speak with Incantrix after completing Rhapsodies of Vana’diel to receive an explanation about Omen.
* Incantrix may be found near the final teleportation entry in the list that appears when interact with an ethereal ingress after receiving the final Rhapsody key item.
- Receive a Goblin canteen key item from Incantrix.
* Players may only possess one Goblin canteen at a time.
* Players may receive one Goblin canteen every 20 hours (Earth time).
- Have the party leader teleport to Reisenjima Henge by interacting with an earthly concrescence in Reisenjima, ensuring that all party members meet to conditions, and selecting Omen.
* Your key item will be consumed upon entry.
* You many only participate a limited number of times.
- A new ethereal ingress will appear as you complete objectives. The amount of time you may spend in Omen will increase each time you us an ethereal ingress to proceed further in.
* The starting time limit for Omen upon entry is ten minutes (Earth time)
- Proceed forward through ethereal ingresses to tackle the boss that awaits in the innermost recesses.
* Rewards may vary based on your level of progressions.
- Completing additional objectives
Additional objectives will display when you are first detected by a foe or are otherwise placed on its enmity list.
Completing the tasks posed to you within the time limit will provide you with a personal reward. These tasks will automatically fail if you leave the area or time expires.

- Personal Rewards
Personal rewards include items known as “job cards,” which are earned some of the time for completing additional tasks in various areas and can be used to reforge artifact armor.
The job cards you earn depend on the job you are participating as.
- Boss Rewards
Rewards vary by boss and may be obtained as spoils for the party when the boss has been vanquished.
- Ambuscade has undergone the following additions and adjustments.
- The enemies within normal and expert Ambuscades have been changed.
- Some rewards available in exchange for total hallmarks have been changed.
- Some rewards available in exchange for badges of gallantry have been changed.
