You're arguing semantics. Kemas is always 1.02 WSC for Smite. However, at high levels of WSC, 1.02 WSC is a decreasingly relevant increase.

Ie: Going from 218 to 219 weapon damage is a 0.04% increase in damage (my Smite inside Abyssea). Whereas going from 164 to 165 (my Smite outside) weapon damage is a 0.06% increase in damage.

Either way, if the increase in cRatio/pDif you get from 7 attack is even a 1% increase in damage, Aesir would win.

I'd personally go with Brutal/Moonshade for TP... Augments for Moonshade being Attack+4, Counter +3...

Kemas is useless in every way, especially in Abyssea. Acc should not be a problem any more for 90%+ mobs in FFXI, so it loses in that aspect. From there, STR holds a close to 0 bonus on Ascetic's Fury and is marginally useful on Victory Smite (just the fact that STR in general is not needed after a few furtherance abyssites).

Aesir/Brutal is ideal.

Wow and here for awhile I thought I was doing it wrong with Aesir/Brutal. I've seen so many damn Emp MNKs wearing Kemes/Brutal that I almost decided to buy one. I guess I was wrong.

Full af3+2 starting out, Sub in head off attowa Cature Nm, Sub in Back piece from Orthos for Cerb/+1 sub in neck for +3-4 str still only get 7-8k VS. wearing max str gear i own i get +67 str outside aby. 2-3k vs outside aby, +200 str or more in aby ... to me gear swaps dont matter much i like my af3 and vere . all this math, accounts for a # not a range which all this game is about Range att = higher cap u can hit for per swing when I hit for 350-400 outside aby with my crits and 100-250 non crit, im happy

im at +80 str outside abbysea even with v smite being 60% str what do you do with the other 40%??? i go with att and acc. Being that its a 4 hit build the acc sure does help. Either way you look at it not all mobs will have the same effect on your dmg. i did a 9.8k on long barreled chariot and ranged from 3k-5.5k on chloris. As long as the dmg output is good.
