    This Campaign

I know that SOMEONE will counter point, but whatever.

You make too many things at once. It would be better to have something always running than to stack them all at the same time.

This month is going to seriously burn people out with all the campaigns. And aggravate people that can't get enough of the one they need because they're doing a different one.

I get that the one guy that will argue wants choices. And that he's capped on everything he could possibly get from (one of the campaigns so it'd be a waste for him. I don't care about him.)

While I agree, they've done this at least several times before and the lack of push back has probably given them the impression all's good. Too many people think giving feedback here is a waste of time and I wish it wasn't the case.

Again, these campaigns are temporary fixes to a very real problem and as such I wish they would quit using them altogether because people think "Yeah, VW sucks, but they'll give us a campaign soon so who cares." It drives me mad. Wildskeeper Reives and Voidwatch (among others) are in need of changes to make them a little more appealing on a permanent basis. It's not difficult to do, so I'd love to know why it's not being done.

It is not being done because it gives people incentive to sub without permanently increasing the loot etc dropped from events. if there are good campaigns (good being ones I like) going, I know am more likely to sub than if not. I am sure I am not alone.

Besides which, people get accustomed to what feels normal for them. So... if we just upped everything to the way it is during campaign, people would stop doing it again because it would be the new normal and no longer feel as rewarding.

I agree some things should be tweaked for all the time, but I disagree that campaigns are a problem. My only wish is that there would not be a gap between campaigns. Or such a long one. If SE wanted me to keep my sub up they would keep the campaigns going without more than a day gap - cause when the campaigns end, my will to play often goes too.

I'm not alone in thinking a large percentage of the human population needs to be wiped out, but that doesn't make it right!

Seriously, though, it doesn't matter that lots of content gets left behind as newer content replaces it, but the events in question are required for upgrading weapons that have practically become expected at end game, i.e. No REM, no spot in the party for you. If you're familiar with the amount of currency needed to make an Idris/Epeolatry or to get an Empyrean weapon to 119 and attempted to farm it up outside of a campaign then you know it's a painfully slow process. 25K bayld and 1 HP bayld dropping per WKR with 3 hour respawn timers is absolutely ridiculous, same with 12 hour recharge time on voidstones.

Sure, maybe people would grow tired of "the new normal" and wonder where the campaigns went... until someone with their feet still on the ground slapped some sense into them. Building those weapons would become possible to a greater number of players, on their own schedule, and it would have the beneficial side effect of taking a bit of the weight off of Ambuscade since we wouldn't have as many people spamming it simply for currency.

Just so I'm clear, I'm not talking about keeping the campaign conditions for WKR and VW in effect full time, but finding some kind of middle ground between that and the regular conditions, something that would draw players back to that content without making it so that every Tom, Dick and Harry could build a 119 weapon or a mountain of gil overnight. Spreading the player base between more content on a full time basis and giving the economy a nice shot in the arm in the process would help this game out immensely at this point, not to mention alleviating the congestion in Ambuscade, even if only by a small percentage.

I agree the HP bayld situation is a bit dire, but it is absolutely, totally not that hard to do voidwatch outside of the VW campaign.

Yes, stones are an issue, but less so if, instead of soloing, you form groups and do it, because the number of drops goes up by however many people you got there. Whenever in the past people have shouted for it when I am on I am down to help proc, especially if I know the shouter will intsta-buy my plates/cinders etc when they drop. It's easy gil, and it's something anyone can do. It's actually a shame to have groups replaced by soloing since it is just about the only group activity in the game (aside from WKR, which is more solo-ey) that doesn't have a high gear check.

I am not of the mind that making VW totally solo grind is sensible. And frankly, people that go that route are just reducing the amount of upgrade items available for everyone. So I absolutely wouldn't want to see VW campaign become the new normal.
