Trial weapons latent breaking

Has SE changed something regarding the completion of level 71 Trial weapons latent breaking?

I have sent 3 people now to their respective trial weapon giver NPC who were working on their latents. In each case, the weapon was broken but the stats did not go away. I confirmed this by checking the weapon on one before he spoke to his NPC, effects were still there, but weapon was broken.

Yes, I know people should keep track, not always possible.

Why can't SE treat these like Magian Trial weapons and put a countdown on the trial weapon, just call it something different.

The stats don't disappear from the weapon. It is the stats effect on you that are gone. It's like unlocking a latent effect of Stats: Null

So if the trial weapon has +10 HP +10MP +10Light +10Fire you would be able to see the added effect of the weapon when equipped in your stats. After broken the stats are no longer effecting you and are not shown on your character but the description remains on the weapon.

But I agree, I just did Staff and Club trials and there would be less teeth gnashing if they to had a Magian style countdown.

agreed...should be easy enought to implement. The data gets written to the log when you move the weapon out of inventory, as evidenced by it can be read with a third party tool on the PC version. Half the work is already there, just need to finish it out.

Thanks guys, I think this was just a case of 3 people not realizing that the stats are on them until the weapon is broken. I have certainly done enough to know it. But since it was 3 people just thought I would check!
