I'm sure after so many years, somewhere in these forums this question has been asked and answered, but why is the wait time 30 days from the last day you can buy bonanza marbles to the date of the drawing? Our lottery systems sell millions and millions of tickets and it's what a 1 - 2 hour wait for the drawing. Is there truth in what people have been saying to keep people subscribed for another month?

Our lottery also makes you pay for the tickets. Think of the wait and sub fees as paying for the bonanza balls in a way that can't be directly seen as paying for the balls because then it would be gambling and subject to all kinds of legal shenanigans

I think the non conspiracy theory answer is that they needed time to look through accounts for RMT because no one wants to award RMT 100,000,000 gil or more, but I'm not sure they ever officially answered the question.
