Well see these are actually against the ToS and you should report them than some guy just out there cleaving.

Think about this for one second....

I was killing at most 4, I repeat 4 mobs... Why does this guy feel the need to kill those 4 mobs, when he has already killed hmmm... 8+ one second ago? It makes no difference... It's not going to break his chain as there are 2 mobs 2 seconds away from that camp which would keep his chain intact...

This is about principle and common courtesy too..

Regardless, getting PLed is *not* tantamount to getting carried through endgame.

Have times changed? Because I still distinctly remember being in inferior parties, but being at camps first, only to be camped over by admittedly superior parties who would proceed to kill everything and leave us nothing rather than find their own spot as players that rightfully arrived second.

Same with BST. Parties KNEW I was there, but would camp over me all the same.

Just because you've never been on the receiving end of it before doesn't mean the phenomenon is new.

I didn't say you did. I said you should report the guys botting all day because that is where the actual problem is. Not this guy cleaving things

What doesn't make sense about repeatedly killing tons of mobs? That's how the game works. Gotta kill lots of stuff over and over again. Faster the better

Common courtesy is not camping on top of somehow who was there first... always been that way. If anything overcamping other people who were there first is killing things...

There was one char running around on BLU, near them, absolutely slaughtering groups of monsters at once with AOE magic (including the little groups of monsters I was fighting)..

Now, these 3 characters just standing there, are going to earn the title "Master" by, simply, standing there. How many more games is this even possible? To get the ultimate rank, by simply standing there?

As someone who does this on blu and bst, I take effort not to camp on somone and not to accidentally get their mobs in my aoes.

I don't know what limited-time challenge this was going on during, but if during Gain-Exp, people turn ruthless.

The game did what it needed to survive. No further explanation is owed to you than that.

As someone with 3 jobs mastered, I disagree. Make no mistake that the rate of gain for these 3 mules or other players is nothing compared to a good party, but they're afk-gaining off a solo cleaver faster than a solo samurai can get exp giving it his all. (Or any job without effective spammable aoe).

Ha! job master the ultimate rank? Not even close. I turn my stars off because it's so pointless, (that and they look like they were drawn in MS paint). Ooh I can perfect dodge 15 minutes sooner, big freaking whoop.

Me too. I have them on right now because apparently it's enticing to ambuscade groups, but yeah they don't mean much for a lot of jobs. However, Job Master is the Final Form for a lot of jobs. Even if all your other gifts suck, the accuracy bonuses account for something. Job Master is effectively leveling beyond 99, even if only in a small way.

So basically things in regards to pling are the same way they've been since what 2005?

Nah. Before abyssea, most PLing took effort from the party. PL's spikes was funny in dunes, but past that, the PL couldn't kill the mobs for you, and so was depending on your party speed. Everyone had to contribute (except maybe the alt account of the PL for obvious reasons).
