Request: UI Scalable

Can we get the UI for FFXI scaled to resolutions higher than 1080p? While I don't expect to play at 4k with FFXI, running on 4k displays on a window, the game looks really small and the text is too small too. It should be at least considered.

I could have swore the option was in the FFXI config tool. At the least, I know with Nvidia settings to oversample to higher resolutions (DSR), if I have those checked off, every resolution (or most) I selected will appear in the config tool.

If there's an option for scaling the UI then I'm really missing it. I don't see anything on FFXIConfig. I'm also using AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB. That's the option I get under Bootcamp with my MacbookPro.

Well, I know it's the FFXI config tool (not the PlayOnline one), then select the screen size tab and there should be 3 options, Overlay and Background on the left, Menu on the right.

Granted, I play on the PC so I have no clue what Macbooks or laptops in general would show.

Playing under Windows (Bootcamp = Windows).

I actually scaled the UI back so it would be big enough to be able to read for me, it's too small for me @ 1080. I run Background @ 4096 x 4096, Overlay @ 1920 x 1080, and the UI @ 1280 x 720 and it works for me.

You'll have to play around with the UI configuration to see what works best for you.

OK thanks, I will play with those around. I'm still surprised it works on my laptop at 2880x1800.

Well, figured it out. So no need to request for the UI change then.
