So I was playing ffxi when maintenance popped up. After killing w/e I was fighting I logged out. Attempted to play later the next day and was unable to connect. Checked my internet connection and everything was good. Moved to a second laptop. Still a no go. Change to my MIFI internet through Verizon...nope. Tried hotspot from phone...nope. Ultimately I tried 3 computers and 3 different internet connections and waiting over 24hrs before contacting SE. After making first call I was told some areas are still affected if your character was located there you may not be able to log in. Service rep said wait a couple hours try again if not call back with this ticket number. waited 3 hours then after waiting on the phone for 43 minutes got the same rep. He advised there were several people having same issue as me. The only solution port forward connection and hope for the best if not wait for character to log out of system. So I forwarded the correct ports(or so I thought) and still nothing called a third time to make sure I had done everything I could. Third call was a different rep...eric I believe was VERY short with me and when I was trying to verify I wrote down correct port numbers dude just kept saying contact your internet service provider. Sorry to ramble but I came back to game less than a week ago was blown away at all of the updates then this happens. I have another account from when I use to dual box and it lets me log in with that account but I just forked over 15 bucks for a game I can't play not about to spend another penny atm.
