Level 90 Abyssea earring suggestions

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I had a couple comments/suggestions about the level 90 earrings you can get in abyssea (e.g., Goetia earring).

First off, is there any chance that we'll be able to store these earrings with the Moogle storage slip 08 with the new version update? We seem to be able to store the other JSE items this way but I was surprised to find that the earrings couldn't be stored. Despite that, I've been keeping them in the hopes these...unimpressive earrings may one day get trials to improve them.

This brings me to my second suggestion, or rather my hope: that these earrings will actually be useful in the future. I'm hoping there ends up being a reason to hold onto my earrings. An easy solution would just to make it like all the other empyrean armor and have trials to create a +1 version. Alternately it could perhaps be boosted through that synergy augment system, but personally I'd prefer a trial.

Anyone else interested in some improvements to these earrings?

Out of all those earrings, I think there's only 2 or 3 that are actually good to use. Some sort of upgrade to them to at least make them usable would be nice. Look at the ninja earring for instance, it's either 1 or 2% dual weild, suppanomimi is 5%! and brutal is 5% double attack, why would you use the iga earring?

Goetia and Orison earrings are horrid. I quickly put those out of my memory as soon as i saw their stats.

I had always assumed SE would eventually let us Upgrade them to +1...

Cause otherwise, They all Kinda look like stuff people wouldn't even of used at level 75.

Well I use the goetia earring, but I was using a morion+1 before. lol

Well, my issue is more that they drop from high level Abyssea NMs and require max level to equip, but somehow it's not as good as gear you can get at a much lower level. Taking the Goetia earring example, You get 3 MAB (and M Acc.) at level 90, but you can kill a really easy NM for a level 47 earring that gives 5 MAB. If you already have Hecate's or Novio, it's already useless--even more so if you have both. On top of that look at the other job specific accessories that are available at lower levels and are awesome. Again, using BLM as the example, the Goetia back and neck pieces were actual improvements over old gear.

Creed earring isn't much better, 30 HP and 3 shield skill make's it nothing but a glorified buckler earring and even with PLD's current standing, there are much better (and easier to attain) option's that make those pretty moot stats at 90. It's this reason that I have little desire to attain it unless there was a method added in an upcoming update to enhance these earrings and grant them much better stats.

Agreed, even if they do not add on trials to upgrade these, which is fine, there is no reason that we should not be able to store these. There are sashes and orbs and junk that can be stored with slip 08, so what makes earrings different? This was a bad oversight truly.

I actually use my Goetia earring for now. I'm first in line with my LS to get Hecate's if we can ever get all of the appropriate LS members on at once. It would be nice to keep the Goetia earring, but currently the moldy is just better (I suppose it's nice to swap in for magic that isn't affected by MAB...). Even the WotG earring is significantly better than Goetia. If you were so inclined you could make a MAB+4/ refresh +1 (with weapon not drawn) earring. I thought it was odd that when the Goetia earring was released they simultaneously released 2 better earrings for all jobs. I'm sure most of the other earrings are similar, perhaps even a lot of the other accessories/

For BLM anyway, there's not much reason to use the Goetia mantle (not to say it's bad, but searing is almost always better), and there's a cheap AH item that's similar to the the Goetia pendant. It doesn't match the upgradable armor at all (which in a lot of cases is hands down the best piece for the slot). I hope they add trials to these pieces in the future and also the remaining 2 accessory slots (oddly different between jobs) that don't have any Empyrean treatment yet.
