However, now i cant play my main char. After the first time i got this in all my 11 years in this game, i'm very worried. And more than angry, if i would lose something like the win on the last RoV fight, cause people don't help anymore.
I (re)tried to relog with her, but the problem stayed the same.
Hi, I had this very same thing happened on my windows 10 pro PC version which kept pointing server side disconnections to my characters, like quite a few weeks/month ago and this had happened to both my character's but not at the same time in which I think it was back in november after they had implemented the new window play mode of borderless windowed mode with me not being positive if that is what partly caused it after trying the mode out, logging into the game from switching to that mode under ffxi config but for me but I was lucky to be at least presented with it going back to the character selection screen after the black wall loading between zones screen would DC and have the connectivity server packs slowly fall but sometimes more quickly drop to DC server than of course as mentioned pop back at the selection of your characters screen. Any of these the same thing's also happening for you that i'm attempting to discuss with you?

Anyways, after the enormous november update while I was having this issue on one character's I was very extremely afraid to zone out through the zoning blackwall loading screen of the current area when that area was loading just fine I was in on my only other character which was the mog gardens at the time. I was able to do stuff inside the mog gardens and chat to ls members on that char. while telling ls members of my current status playing problem situation of my other character, telling them of my scarry problem of why i'm afraid to zone plus why I wouldn't or I haven't tried to zone with that character yet. I had suspected the same thing would occur for the only other character playable at the moment if I did zone him and eventually I did zone him after few days maybe a week of not wanting to log in the game after the occurrence had occurred but I had logged in few times to see if anything had changed for the one character while I Kept ls members informed of my current situation I finally got enough gumption to zone him but not without having ls members/peeps on fl on the same page wishing me luck in zoning first.

Sure enough, what I was afraid would happen with my character happened getting him stuck on that very same screen but at least I was sort of able to chat over to ls member's with a very limited short time frame on dc'ing with that screen even at times bringing up the ability in seeing the character's health bar and text of current area supposed to be zoned into already present. So to keep FFXI friends with some being ls member informed with both characters in a way blocked from playing I resorted to using the playonline friendlist plus feature to keep in contact with them.

~Sorry keep repeating some of what i've already said but trying not too while informing you of about the same event on my characters.~

I'll just finish it by saying after another day of logging out maybe even a few days after being logged out I logged back in once more again on the one character then swapped characters again after finding out the one character was still on that same problem but I got lucky swapping to the other character with it loading up the area after the logging-in{plus}zone loading data screen occurred with him remaining longer in the zone before server to character dc was occurring while stating my issue's with yet another ls member called Daymen on leviathan server in which I asked for him to contact a gm to tell a GM my current problem about being afraid to go between area's zones and hopefully before I dc again to see it could be fixed by them. Now I think I dced yet again but after that disconnect logged out completely closing out even the playonline viewer screen then went back to opening up the ffxi config tool switching back to windowed mode and now it was everything was fine again after I logged back in the next time I had logged in after another all worlds maintenance occurred but now I don't know if the reason that I was able to everything running fine again is because of having Daymen attempt to contact a GM then dcing before seeing one or hearing if he even contacted one yet or if it was because I had changed it back to the previous windowed mode I was playing on or maybe even if it might of been due to the all worlds maintenance that had occurred. I suppose all three could of occurred in combination to all in it being fixed to work for my characters being connections perfectly playable again but i sure can tell you i missed out on a lot of time in playing the timed/holiday events that where up in nov. during all that time everything was happening too.

Hope it gets resolved for you or gets a break through for you to play again as well.

{edit): So i'm going to try out borderless windowed mode again just before updating and let it do the december update in that mode to see if updating in the switched window mode will allow the game to run better in that mode since i'm now updating in that type of window mode before the update instead of switching it afterwards out of curiosity.
