[DEV100?] Race Change feature/service

I'm not sure if i'm in the minority but I always wished there was a feature to change your characters race. It could operate similiar to the world transfer service?

Pay a fee (or be free>.>) to change your characters race? Limitations and restrictions should apply of course.

Always wished I had made my characters a Taru or Mithra.

Anyone else like the idea? Devs?

I guarantee you it's technically possible but far too much trouble. Okay I should say it's possible in other MMOs but far too much trouble aside from special once in a blue moon events.

If SE won't allow same sex marriages in FFXI then they certainly won't allow transsexual mithras.

I suppose they could limit it to same gender but then that wouldn't be fair to all players because mithras and galkas are one gender races.

I'm personally against it because playing all jobs on a single character is part of what sets FFXI apart from other MMOs where everyone has an army of race/class optimized alts and allowing people to change their character's race will diminish this.

Seriously I know a good amount of people who would pay even $100 USD to get there race/Sex In game changed. I believe they said before that its not possible though for FFXI because when you obtain gear in game it links to your character code (Which is why gear looks different on different models/races)
