I'm a returning player who unlocked Summoner yesterday, (17th Aug, 2015)

I leveled to 20 and before i started gathering Sandoria Fame to flag the quest "Trial size, Trial by ice", i checked online what Fame rank i needed. I was surprised to find that the Fame requirements have been removed, and you should be able to flag the quests as a level 20 summoner, with no Fame, which i did. I defeated Shiva Mini (level 20) and obtained her as an avatar, before immediately heading to Bastok, to talk to Ferrol, to flag the quest "trial size, trial by earth". When i spoke to Ferral, he did not flag any quests for me, simply repeated the same 'default' phrase over and over.
I figured i had to wait one real life day, despite guides stating otherwise. I logged on today and tried to flag the quest again, with the same outcome. So i contacted a GM, and asked if i still needed the Fame in order to flag the quest, The GM (GM Nirusphoros) confirmed that fame is no longer needed to flag the quest, and that i should be able to flag the quest (see image). To confirm that Fame was no longer a requirement, i went to norg to flag the quest "trial size, trial by water". I was able to flag the quest just fine, and recieved the 'Mini tuning fork of water' (see image).
