Looking for some help / people to play with on Bahamut Server

Hello all,

I have a similar post up on the ZAM forums, but I don't think many people frequent there anymore.

A friend and I just started up the game again and are looking for friendly people to play the game with. I transferred to Bahamut server around Feb of this year, but had to deactivate my account due to personal reasons shortly after the transfer. I came from Bismarck server and my knowledge of FFXI ends at around Abyssea. Truth be told I haven't really "actively" played FFXI since around late 2011 early 2012. I have several jobs at 99 and a few in the 70s as well.

My buddy started up the game around March of last year, but because I was unable to continue playing he also deactivated his account and has recently returned alongside me. He has no FFXI experience outside of leveling from 1-25 on a Warrior.

We are looking for friendly people who do not mind showing us the ropes and helping us figure out where to go from here. One of the biggest issues I've experienced every time I return is the fact that I have no clue what I should be doing, so I end up just leveling up alternative jobs and unsubscribing after a month of wandering around. I would eventually like to participate in some of the new content that has been released since Abyssea, and would love an active community of friendly folks to chat with. I tend to prefer voice chat over keyboard in game chat, so if someone is willing to chat via TS, Vent, or Skype, to get me caught up on how the game is / what to do that would be ideal.
